Wolfe Chevrolet Edmonton Lube Tech

Wolfe Chevrolet - The Chevy Farm is currently looking for a skilled and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Lube Tech. In this role, you will be responsible for performing oil changes, ensuring proper tire pressure and inflation, inspecting and refilling fluid levels, conducting vehicle inspections, and completing tire rotations as required, as well as Tire repair and installation . Attention to detail is crucial. Providing excellent customer service is a top priority, and you will greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor. Role Summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes
  • Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation

Wolfe Chevrolet Edmonton Technican

The Chevy Farm, operating as Wolfe Chevrolet, is currently seeking a full-time Journeyman/Journeywoman Automotive Service Technician. The successful candidate must possess a provincially recognized Journeyman/Journeywoman Automotive Mechanic Certificate and hold a Red Seal Certification. Additionally, a minimum of five years of GM dealership experience is required for this position. You will play a crucial role in the customer experience by conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements, provide accurate repair recommendations and complete the repairs to the customer’s satisfaction. Additionally, you can mentor, coach and train apprentices within the dealership.

Role Summary

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
  • Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of light to medium-duty vehicles
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labor costs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Diesel and transmission repair experience would be considered an asset.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and using power and hand-held equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving history.

Experience

  • GM Dealership (preferred)
  • Five years GM experience (preferred)

Wolfe Chevrolet will provide automotive repair training commencing in Express Service until the employee is Red Seal Level Certified. On Day 1, you will be assigned to one of our experienced, high-performing Team Leaders who will work with you on the practical aspects of your development into a Red Seal Technician, and you will receive a scheduled time to attend Apprenticeship School. Your manufacturer training will be coordinated to ensure optimal performance in all periods of Apprenticeship Training.
